Steve Taylor was brought on to this project to aid in the songwriting. After the album was half finished and no producer had been named, the record company told Steve and Peter Furler that they might as well take on the role as producers as they had effectively done so thus far.
Steve had his hand in the writing of the lyrics to every track on the album. Two cover songs on the album should have this explained a bit further.
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, was written in the early 1920's. It however was part of a two song medley, Where You Belong/Turn Your Eyes On Jesus. Steve wrote the lyrics to Where You Belong.
The other cover was Boycott Hell written by DeGarmo & Key for their album The Pledge. Steve wrote in jest a rap poking fun at the song. It was an in studio joke that Steve did not do intending for it to go on the final product, however, the Newsboys liked it and wanted it added.
