Hi Jim, I totally overlooked the fact that the globe would be heavier for return shipping. I really appreciate you letting the difference slide. I can't thank you enough. I didn't look the globe over that well when my daughter brought it to me, but when I mentioned the coach light to my wife, she said that she had noticed it, but the light itself was missing and she didn't think there was anything that could be done about it. That you were able to effect a repair is amazing. The things I have read about your services online were glowing and this just proves that your reputation is well deserved.
The snow globe arrived yesterday and I am very impressed with your work. You did a fantastic job and I can't thank you enough. My daughter has not seen it yet but I know that she will be extremely pleased and I have you to thank for that. Your service is second to none. I am very impressed with your excellent workmanship and attention to detail and I would not hesitate to recommend your service to anyone needing a professional restoration of their valued keepsake.
Again, thank you very much for the great work and the great service. I couldn't be more pleased. All the best. Cheers, Mike, Penhold, Alberta
Hi Jim-Yes I received the snow globe-I love it!! Thank you so much-I gave it to my son who loves penguins. I am keeping your address for any future needs and will recommend you to anyone who needs a snow globe repaired. Again thank you so much-Karen
Thank You!
Just a quick email to thank you so very much for the wonderful job you did on refurbishing and repairing our snow globe this past spring. When I brought it out this Christmas season, it was beautifully magical to see how it had been transformed from last year. May you live long and prosper in good health, good fortune, happiness and love. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Candace Stewart
Some months ago I made a huge mistake, I broke a snow globe that allison had sitting on her dresser. She was in the room when it “crashed” to the floor and was really upset - it was given to her by her grandmother and grandfather, held some pretty special memories. I can’t begin to describe what an ass I felt like.
So what do I do but Google around to see if it’s something that I can repair myself, if there are any parts available online. I found some articles, but this seemed to be a bigger challenge than I could sign up for. The figurine was broken too, and I wasn’t sure how to start making a repair that would last. but apparently there are a few people out there that fix this sort of thing.
After some more searching, I found the name of James Purcell. he’s located in Halifax and was very quick to respond to my emails on the subject. before long I had it mailed off to him and in his hands for repair. Jim was honest with his advice and was even willing to try and find a replacement figurine. when I described to Jim the sentimental value this had to my wife, he was more than willing to do what he could to repair it to the best of his abilities and at a fair and honest price. A couple of months later, we got this in the mail:
What a difference! Allison was shocked, says it probably looks as good (or better) than when she first was given it. Jim, you did a fantastic job! If anyone stumbles across this posting, have faith in Jim Purcell and his services - what we received back far exceeded our expectations, what a wonderful Christmas gift it was! Mike Marsman
Jim, Received the package yesterday. Am absolutely delighted. Thanks again for such a great job. Buffy, Annapolis M D USA
And it's back home now!! Thank you so very much. It is gorgeous again. It will now be secured in a glass cupboard where the evil cat cannot get at it. Thank you so much again for your expert help. Bernadine, Peterborough, ON
