. . . . is Home.
A warm, safe place of the heart.
Timothy's writings do come from his heart and when you read his work - particularly his dedicated writings for the military community, you realize that he really does care.
At times in this very challenging lifestyle, we do feel alone, but we are blessed with so many good people like Timothy who show us, particularly when we need it the most, that others understand our pain, our sorrow.
The poem below, written today, 12 June 07 touches our hearts as all of us in the military community, and all of Canada, mourn the loss of another of Canada's finest.
We were invincible once
you and I
Wars were fought on playgrounds
and impending nightfall sent us home
Bombs were made of noises
from the mouths of fearless boys
with steely eyes and staunch bravado
but His path has brought us here
I pray peace comforts your soul
upon your final journey home
The world seemed much simpler then
my friend
The Maple Leaf, Oh Canada, and
freedom embodied our belief
Mankind’s ills barely touched us
as we righted wrongs with such flare
and cheered our whimsical bravery
but His path has taken you away
I pray your family finds solace
in the depth of your belief
There is no greater fear
than when your boy becomes a man
To walk amongst the dangers
a mortal within our Creator's plan
