Every letter tells a story
Every photo casts its spell
As I rummage through the scrapbooks
At the memories that they tell.
Not long before I met you
I was battered and abused
I felt my life was worthless
So lost and so confused.
A gift was given to me
After all those hopeless years
The words that I had longed for
And took away my fears.
You said, "Come be my partner,
Please come and be my wife
I'll stand by you forever
You'll have a happy life."
We joined our hands together
Stood side by side each day
I always feel you near me
Even though you're far away.
