Big, Bad, Birthday Blues
By Julie Doherty
Now that I have turned fifty I can’t help but feel old
I’m often pretty tired and really mind the cold
My makeup takes forever to put upon my face
I use all kinds of special creams for wrinkle and line erase
The pounds are packing on me I won’t be thin again
But when I met my husband I only weighed one-ten
I can hardly paint my toenails it’s really hard to do
By the time I get one foot done my face is turning blue.
But I have one consolation Regarding the above
My hubby always tells me that there’s more of me to love.
