There comes a time in each man’s life

When he asks a special lady to be his wife

Right from the start I knew Leah was the one

Who would capture the heart of my oldest son

Chris had searched for quite a while

But when Leah said “My main ambition is to make Chris smile”

I knew in my heart that his search had ended

And their two lives would someday be blended

How pleased I was when she agreed to his name

Now the Collier Clan has increased its fame

She surely was my daughter in another life

Otherwise, Chris couldn’t make her his wife

To see my son so happy is all I ask

And to keep him that way is Leah’s task

It’s for certain the love that she gives to him

Will be returned by Chris from deep within

Chris, you are my pride and my joy

No one could be prouder of their first baby boy

Be happy in everything that you do

And remember, God always walks with you

Leah, look after Chris as he’ll look after you

Keep love in your hearts whatever you do

On this your special wedding day

Always remember to love, honor and obey

Not necessarily obey each other

But the rules God instilled through the Heavenly Father

If you think of each other before you think of yourself

Your marriage will contain the greatest of wealth

And so in the year 2000 on the 22^nd of July

John and I certainly don’t say goodbye

But lovingly welcome Leah into the Collier Clan
