Our Peacekeepers

  As military spouses, we support, we care, we look after hearth and home. 

 We also look after each other. 

  We worry while our husbands are away and  we rejoice  when they return.  

 This page is dedicated to all our military men and women  on a foreign tour.
 

                

As I watch you packing, I am filled with grief.
Letting you go is beyond my belief.

 There's peace in our home, but not in the world.
You are the white dove with your wings unfurled.

You'll stand at the borders thinking always of us.
While you watch all the horror and all the fuss.

But you're doing your duty - you're doing your best.
Until I can hold you I know I won't rest.

I wish I could go there and stand beside you.
I'd try to stop war and I'd try something new.

For if I had my way, if I had my choice,
I would fight for world peace using only my voice.
